    About Mango Habanero Margarita

Mango Habanero Margarita is a unique take on the classic margarita recipe that uses mango and habanero peppers as its main ingredients. This drink is perfect for those who love spicy and sweet flavors.

It is made using fresh or frozen mangoes, habanero peppers, lime juice, and tequila. The sweetness of the mango is balanced out by the heat of the habanero peppers, making it a perfect drink for those who enjoy spice.

This margarita is perfect for serving at parties or get-togethers. It is sure to be a hit with Cinco De Mayo partygoers.

You can easily scale the recipe. Make it in a pitcher if making it for a crowd.

    Ingredients

For The Habanero Infused Simple Syrup

    Habanero infused syrup ingredients.

You will need granulated sugar, water, and habanero chili to make the syrup.

    To Rim The Glass

    Rimming ingredients.

I used red chili powder and regular salt to rim the margarita glass.

    For The Margarita

    Mango habanero margarita ingredients.

You will need fresh or frozen mangoes, tequila, orange-flavored liqueur like triple sec, grand mariner or Cointreau, and freshly squeezed lime juice.

You will also need lots of ice cubes to chill the cocktail.

The best tequila to use for mango margaritas is reposado tequila. A reposado tequila has been aged for at least two months, giving it a more mellow flavor that pairs well with the other ingredients in this recipe.

Having said that, use any tequila that is easily available to you.

Make The Habanero Infused Simple Syrup

Add ½ cup granulated sugar, ½ cup water, and half habanero pepper to a saucepan.

Remove the pan from the heat and let the habanero steep for 15 minutes.

Strain the mixture using a fine sieve into a lidded jar. Store in the fridge until ready for use. You will get ¾ cup of simple syrup which is good to make 4-5 servings of this drink.

    Pro Tips By Neha

Try using fresh mangoes for the best flavor. If you can’t find fresh mangoes, you can use frozen ones instead. Just make sure to thaw them before using them.

Habanero peppers can be very spicy, so start with one and add more to the taste. If you don’t like spice, you can omit the habanero peppers from the recipe. Also, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after touching them.

Be sure to use fresh lime juice for the best flavor. You can also add a lime wedge to each drink for garnish.

If you want your margaritas to be extra cold, try freezing the mangoes before adding them to the blender.

This recipe makes two servings, but it can easily be doubled or tripled if needed.

Add some more sugar syrup if you like your drink sweeter.

Salt the rim of your glasses for a perfect finishing touch.

How to make a frozen mango margarita?
