About Pumpkin Spice Butter
Give your basic butter a cozy fall twist with this delicious Whipped Pumpkin Spice Honey Butter Spread. This sweet condiment is like apple butter, except it uses pumpkin instead of apples.
This fall-flavored spread is sweet and mildly salty and is loaded with cozy warm flavors. It is a great way to use the leftover pumpkin puree after making pumpkin recipes like Thai Pumpkin Red Curry or Pumpkin Apple Soup.
Pumpkin pie spice butter spread is easy to make and comes together in under 5 minutes using just 5 ingredients – salted butter, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin puree, honey, and vanilla extract.
Spread it on croissants, bread toast, waffles, pancakes, bagels, and dinner rolls, or use it as a dip with apple wedges, oranges, etc.
Spiced pumpkin butter freezes very well, so double or triple the recipe to store it for later use.

Ingredients

Salted Butter – Use the best quality salted butter to make this spread.
You can replace dairy butter with any plant-based butter to make it vegan.
Pumpkin Puree – I prefer homemade pumpkin puree, but you can also use canned pumpkin puree.
Pumpkin Pie Spice – Homemade pumpkin pie spice blend or store-bought, anything you prefer.
Honey – Adjust it according to your taste.
You can replace honey with maple syrup too. Demerara sugar, brown sugar, or coconut sugar also works well.
Vanilla Extract – Use high-quality vanilla extract for the best flavor.
How To Make Pumpkin Spice Butter
Add 1 cup of salted butter (softened to room temperature) and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice to a medium mixing bowl.
Whisk using a wire whisk, stand mixer, or a hand-held bender with a whip attachment until light and fluffy.
Note – You can also use your food processor to whip the butter.

Add ¼ cup of pumpkin puree, ¼ cup honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla, and continue to whisk until combined, about 2 minutes.

Spoon the pumpkin spice butter into a bowl or a glass jar for serving. Serve at room temperature.

Pro Tips By Neha
If your pumpkin puree has too much liquid, cook the purée, frequently stirring, for 15 to 18 minutes or until smooth and thickening. We’re looking to cook down most of the water in the purée, so you can take it off heat whenever the simmering purée stops producing visible steam.
You can replace pumpkin puree with pumpkin pie filling in this pumpkin spice butter recipe. Skip adding spices, as the filling already has added spices.
Serving Suggestions
Spread spiced pumpkin honey butter on croissants, bread toast, cinnamon swirl bread, banana bread, waffles, or pancakes for breakfast.
Add it to your sandwiches, bagels, or wraps for lunch or brunch.

Storage Suggestions
Store pumpkin spice butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Check the expiration date on the butter package for how long it will keep.
Use a clean and dry spoon to ensure it lasts longer.
To increase the shelf life of pumpkin spice butter spread, you can freeze it in a freezer-safe container for up to 6 months. Just thaw in the refrigerator or over the counter until it becomes spreadable again and use.
