    About Dates Milkshake (Khajoor Milkshake)

Dates Milkshake (Khajoor Milkshake) is a delicious, nutritious beverage loved by people of all ages. It is a refreshing and healthy alternative to sugary drinks and can be enjoyed as a snack or a meal replacement.

Dates are a good source of calcium and other essential nutrients and including them in your diet is very good for the body. They provide instant energy to the body and are known to lower body temperature.

This date shake recipe is a great way to incorporate dates into your everyday diet.

This recipe is vegetarian, gluten-free, and low carb and it can be very easily made vegan too.

You can easily double or triple the dates milkshake recipe as per your requirements.

    Ingredients & Variations

    Dates milkshake ingredients.

Milk – Use whole milk (full-fat milk) for a rich and creamy milkshake. To make the shake healthier, you can definitely use low-fat or skim milk.

To make a vegan milkshake, use any plant-based milk like coconut milk, oat milk, soy milk, or almond milk.

Dates – Use the best quality seedless dates to make dates shake. I personally prefer using Medjool dates as they have thin skin and softer flesh. They also have a rich caramel-like taste.

Banana – Freezing the banana makes the shake super creamy and luscious. Do not miss this step.

Honey – Adjust it as per your liking. You can replace it with maple syrup or agave nectar for a vegan version.

Vanilla Extract – It gives a lovely flavor to this shake.

    Variations

You can replace vanilla extract with ground cardamom powder, ground cinnamon powder, or ground nutmeg powder.

You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt to make this shake creamy and luscious.

Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder and serve this shake as a pre or post-workout snack.

To make this khajoor shake chocolaty, add 2-3 tablespoon of chocolate syrup.

To make the shake even healthier, add some soaked nuts like almonds, cashew nuts, and walnuts while blending.

Chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, etc are some other additional options for this nutty shake.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can we make it using dry dates (chuhara)?

Yes, you can. Soak the dry dates in some warm water in a small bowl for 3-4 hours. Then use them in place of soft dates. Don’t throw away the water in which they were soaked, it has all the goodness of dates.

    Serving Suggestions

It is a great healthy drink to serve on hot summer days.

Enjoy as-is as a healthy breakfast or evening snack if you are on a weight loss journey. I love to sip on a big glass of date milkshake on busy mornings. It keeps me full for a long time.

Khajoor milkshake is popularly served during Ramadan.

It can be served for vrat days (Hindu Fasting) like Navratri, Shivratri, or Ekadashi.

Top this delicious date shake with fresh fruits, nuts, or seeds for added flavor and nutrition.

    Storage Suggestions

To store dates banana milkshake, simply refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. Enjoy chilled!
