    About This Recipe

Make this easy fruity kiwi soda, which will freshen you up instantly on a hot summer day. It has the goodness of kiwi, a citrus fruit that is extremely high in vitamin C and fiber giving us the necessary nutrients required for the body.

Sugar and lime juice are added, which gives this summer beverage a sweet tangy taste. It is then topped with chilled club soda to add some fizziness to the drink. You can skip club soda and top the drink with chilled water instead.

You can make this light green-colored kiwi soda to just sip on a hot afternoon, or for your house parties and get-togethers. It is also a great beverage to prepare for your weekend barbecues.

    Ingredients

    Kiwi Soda Ingredients.

Kiwi – Pick up ripe and juicy kiwi to make this drink. To check if they are perfectly ripened, press them gently, they should give back a little.

Do no get Kiwis that have soft patches, as they are overripe and do not lend that tangy taste to the drink.

Sugar – Adjust the quantity of sugar as per your taste and preference. You can also add honey instead of sugar as a healthy alternative.

Lime Juice – Add in a little lime juice, to add that much-needed tanginess. Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best taste.

Club Soda – Use unflavored unsweetened club soda to top the drink.

Mint Leaves – Mint leaves adds a refreshing flavor, so do not skip this ingredient. You can replace mint with basil leaves.

Lime Slices – Garnish your drink with some lime slices.

Ice – Add in as much ice cubes you want!

    How to make Kiwi Soda?

Peel 2 kiwi fruits using a sharp knife and cut the flesh into small cubes. Add the kiwi cubes, 2 tablespoon granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon lime juice to the small jar of a blender and blend until smooth.

Kiwi, lime juice and sugar added to a blender.
    Smooth puree made.

Pour the kiwi puree equally in two tall glasses.

Kiwi puree added to a glass.

Top with club soda and stir using a stirrer or a long spoon until combined.

    Topped with club soda.

Add ice cubes to the glass and garnish with lime slices and mint leaves. Serve immediately.

    Ready kiwi soda.

    Health Benefits of Kiwi

This summer fruit is not only yummy, but it also has a lot of health benefits. Kiwi is rich in vitamin C and dietary fibre, which is great for the overall health. Apart from these, it also has some specific health benefits.

Due to its fantastic dietary fibre properties, it is great for digestion and also helps with other stomach related issues.

Due to its high antioxidant properties, it is a great fruit to prevent certain types of cancers and in addition, it also limits the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

As it is rich in vitamin C, it is considered great for your skin. It makes your skin clear and makes it glow. It also promotes eye health.

Kiwi boosts your immune system, which is very important for the overall functioning of your body. Kiwi is one of those fruits that also reduces blood clotting and manages blood pressure.

Lastly, it is great to treat asthma too.
