About Turmeric Coffee

Turmeric Coffee (Curcumin Coffee) is a delicious coffee drink made by adding turmeric powder and a few other spices to your favorite coffee.

The turmeric mix has a nice spicy kick and comes together quickly. It gives the coffee a warm, earthy flavor that is great to sip.

Although you can drink turmeric coffee year-round, it is particularly good in winter or on rainy days.

This turmeric coffee powder can be added to any of your favorite coffees. Be it a Latte, Espresso, Cappuccino, or even a simple brewed coffee made using Instant coffee powder, it works great in all of them.

You will need ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, ground black pepper, ground ginger, and your favorite coffee.

Pepper enhances the taste of this drink and aids the body’s absorption of curcumin.

According to some studies, adding ยฝ teaspoon of coconut oil or ghee also enhances the body’s absorption of curcumin. You can try it, too.

You can add the turmeric coffee spice mix to any of your favorite coffees, such as brewed coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, or espressos.

How To Make Turmeric Coffee

Step 1: Mix the following ingredients in a bowl.

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ยฝ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ยฝ teaspoon ground ginger

Mixed well.

Step 2: Add ยฝ teaspoon of this mixture per cup of your ready coffee.

Step 3: Mix vigorously until the powder is fully combined with the liquid, then serve hot.

Note: You can store this mixture for up to 1 month in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Drinking 1-2 cups of this coffee daily is best. You can drink it after breakfast or in the evening. Do not drink on an empty stomach; otherwise, it may cause acidity.

Add a teaspoon of ground clove and ground nutmeg to the mix to give it a gingerbread flavor.

Ingredients 

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 6 cups of your favorite coffee (brewed coffee, latte, cappuccino, espresso etc.)

Instructions 

  • Mix turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper and ginger in a bowl and store in an airtight glass container.

    Thanks for posting this recipe. I tried it on my regular black coffee and it tastes amazing. Since then my standard for turmeric coffee/golden latte got bumped up a few notches ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†.
