    Ingredients

    Muskmelon punch ingredients.

This simple punch needs only 5 main ingredients – muskmelon, milk, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and nuts.

While selecting muskmelon, always smell it. It should smell fruity, musky, and sweet. It should be a little firm when pressed. Avoid the ones with soft patches.

Use whole (full fat) milk for the creamiest texture. As sweetened condensed milk is sweet enough, you can adjust the amount of sugar depending on how sweet you want the punch to be.

Cashews are added for richness and to improve the texture. You can even use soaked and peeled almonds instead of cashews.

Finally, garnish it with some almond, cashew and pistachio slivers.

    How to make Muskmelon Punch?

Gather the ingredients and chill them in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Cut 1 small muskmelon into half and discard the seeds.

    Muskmelon cut into half.

Cut each half into quarters and remove the skin using a knife.

    Peeled wedges.

Now chop the wedges into 1 inch cubes.

    Cut into cubes.

Add half of the cubed melon to a blender along with 1 cup whole milk, 2 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 8-10 whole cashew nuts and blend until smooth.

Half of the melon cubes added to a blender.
Milk, condensed milk, sugar and cashew nuts added to the blender.

Chop the remaining melon into very small pieces.

Half of the melon chopped finely.

Add the chopped melon into two serving glasses.

Chopped melon added to serving glasses.

Top the glasses with the melon shake and then garnish with almond, cashew, and pistachio slivers. Serve chilled. You can also add a few ice cubes while serving.

Note – Instead of cutting, peeling, and chopping the melon, you can also scoop the flesh from the whole melon by keeping its shell intact and then serve the punch in the shell itself.

Note – Top the punch with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a yummy treat.

    Ready muskmelon punch.

    Storage Suggestions

As it takes just 5 minutes to prepare this muskmelon punch, I will suggest you to make it fresh.

Cut the melon and refrigerate it so that it comes in handy when you want to make the punch. You can also chop the nuts and keep them stored in an air-tight container in the fridge or at room temperature.
