About Garlic Parmesan Seasoning

Garlic Parmesan Seasoning is a flavorful combination of Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian herbs. It has the perfect blend of herbs, complemented by the addition of creaminess from the Parmesan cheese.

This seasoning is super versatile. I toss it with French fries, Sweet potato wedges, or any other snack, elevating their taste to the next level in a few seconds.

This homemade seasoning is so much better than the store-bought ones, as

  • It tastes better because it is made with higher-quality ingredients.
  • It’s much more economical.
  • Free of artificial colors and preservatives.
  • It is customizable. You can skip or add an ingredient to suit your taste.

Ingredients

This seasoning mix requires a few ingredients: Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.

Use shredded or grated Parmesan cheese. You can use vegan Parmesan cheese to make a vegan version.

Usage Suggestions

You can use this delicious seasoning on French Fries, warm bread, breadsticks, pasta, risotto, bruschetta, or pizza. I use it over my Oven Roasted Sweet Potato Wedges and Jambalaya Pasta to enhance their taste.

I also like adding it to my roasted vegetables, shrimp, fish, or chicken to oomph the taste.

Adding it to soups, casseroles, savory tarts, or dips is also a great option.

You can also toss some seasoning over cooked chicken wings.

    1. Tom, I suggest cooking the meat first and then tossing it with the seasoning. If you cook the meat with the seasoning, it might get burned.

  1. 5 stars
This blend is amazingly delicious. I often buy a premade seasoning from
Wegmans and this recipe is extremely close to the taste. I am happy that I no longer have to spend the extra money on the premade and can make it myself with ingredients I always have on hand. Thank you!

  2. The recipe sounds wonderful. Can you use Kraft Parmesan cheese and if so does the jar of spice need to be refrigerated?

    1. Yes, you can use Kraft parmesan cheese. If stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, this seasoning will last about 2 weeks.
